Our Story
Parable Trust was co-founded in 2005 by Robert Conway and Philip Louis as they served as UK Directors of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce, a group of Christian business leaders.
It began with a shared conviction that the marketplace is central to God’s purposes, and that business leaders are called not only to succeed, but to steward what has been entrusted to them for His Kingdom.
From the beginning, Parable Trust was structured differently, as a not-for-profit organisation designed to operate without personal ownership (stewardship, yes – personal ownership, no) and to direct all value created toward Kingdom purposes.
Over more than 20 years, this has grown into a practical outworking of faith in business, supporting leaders, building and strengthening companies, and contributing to Kingdom work both in the UK and internationally.
Our businesses
Parable Trust is not only an organisation that supports businesses, we are actively involved in building and stewarding them.
Our current portfolio includes:
What We Stand For (Values we believe in)
Generosity and Multiplication
Embrace giving as a joyful act of worship, honouring God with first fruits, tithes, offerings and gifts (Proverbs 3:9-10, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8). Encourage a “pay-it-forward” culture, emphasising the multiplication of generosity and fruitfulness
(Luke 6:38)
Stewardship and Accountability
No personal shareholdings (Haggai 2:8) it is all for our Lord. We will not use financial instruments as these could possibly open the door to control and manipulation (Matthew 6:24). Uphold godly financial practices, avoiding “dishonest scales” and ensuring transparency in all dealings
(Hebrew 4:13)
Faith and Obedience
Trust in God’s provision, with a commitment to walking in obedience to His principles
(Malachi 3:10, Psalm 34:10)
Integrity and Respect
Behaving in a way that honours God in all dealings (Proverbs 10:9). Respecting others as ourselves
(Philippians 2:3)
Freedom and Prosperity
Release businesses and individuals from destructive practices, enabling them to flourish under Kingdom principles
(Galatians 5:1)
Leadership

Robert Conway
Robert Conway is the co-founder and Chairman of Parable Trust, with more than 50 years of business experience and over 30 years walking in the Kingdom. He spent 28 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he became a partner and built a leading Corporate Finance practice, advising on over 100 mergers and acquisitions ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations including Microsoft and Philips. Since leaving PwC, Robert has played a central role in the development of Parable Trust and in the leadership and growth of several businesses, including serving as Chairman of Europlacer. His passion is to see businesses established and grown under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, developing leaders, multiplying talents, and advancing the Kingdom of God through the marketplace.

Julian Boardman
Julian Boardman is Group Finance Director of Europlacer, having joined the business in 2000 and the Board in 2014. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and previously served as Finance Director of a capacitor manufacturer. Julian brings extensive practical experience across finance, administration, HR, and IT, together with a strong belief that these functions should be fully integrated into the core life of a business. A Christian from a young age and now a Deacon at Dorchester Baptist Church, Julian is particularly passionate about supporting those entering business for the first time and helping them navigate both the practical and spiritual challenges of the marketplace.

Victor Lorenzo
Victor Lorenzo has spent more than 30 years working internationally in Christian leadership, discipleship, and marketplace ministry. Originally from Argentina, he was involved in large-scale city transformation initiatives, church leadership development, and national ministry movements before relocating with his family to the UK in 2001 following what they believed was a clear call from God. Victor has a particular passion for helping believers apply biblical principles and Kingdom thinking within everyday life and the marketplace. His work has included supporting business leaders, mentoring churches and ministries, and encouraging unity, prayer, and transformation across communities and organisations. Through Parable Trust, Victor brings a strong emphasis on spiritual discernment, leadership development, and the practical outworking of faith in business and society.

Ralph Hume
Ralph Hume is the founder and former Managing Director of Harran Limited, a specialist helicopter refuelling company serving offshore installations in the UK North Sea. Starting the business in 1995 as a one-man operation, he grew it to achieve over 70% market share before its sale in 2017. A Christian for more than 50 years, Ralph brings a strong conviction that business is a walk of faith shaped by integrity, obedience, and reliance on God’s direction. His experience of building a successful business from nothing, without formal training or external finance, gives him a practical and grounded perspective in supporting others in the marketplace.

Simon Badger
Simon Badger joined Parable Trust in 2023 and became Chairman of Europlacer in 2024, helping lead the business through a challenging market downturn and ongoing turnaround. He was previously Managing Director of a UK ERP company. Simon is also a trustee of Sozo Ministries International. A committed Christian, husband, and father, Simon brings a strong conviction that business leadership should be shaped by the truth of Scripture and the faithfulness of God. He believes God desires His people to be the head and not the tail in the marketplace, and that strong, blessed Kingdom businesses can help fund the work of the gospel and transform lives practically. He takes a strategic, broad-based approach to business, combined with a focus on protecting jobs, supporting employees, and building organisations that are resilient, sustainable, and aligned with Kingdom purpose.

Laura Andersen
Laura joined Parable Trust in 2023, bringing a strong background in administration and organisational support. In 2025, she moved to Europlacer to act as Simon's Personal Assistant, providing administrative support across the business.
Having been a Christian for over 15 years, Laura is passionate about seeing faith lived out in the workplace and everyday life. In February 2026, she became Company Secretary for Parable Trust, where she enjoys supporting the company's mission and contributing to its effective governance and smooth operation.
